A loan of $400 helped to buy more fish in order to continue her sales..

Cindy's story

Cindy is a hardworking young 21-year-old woman. She is the mother of a 4-year-old girl name Kaori whom she is raising in her in-laws' home together with her partner, Alex.

She makes a living selling fish. She has a sales stall in one of the busiest markets in the area and, fortunately, she has had good sales and made a considerable profit. However, this work takes a lot of sacrifice. In order to get good, fresh product, she has to get up very early in the morning and go to the city's port at 4:00 in the morning. Still, she knows that all of this effort is worth it, especially when she sees that her little daughter has everything she needs. She has been in this business for 6 months and she works along side her partner. She knows that she still does not have all of the necessary experience, but she asserts that she will get the experience by doing things well and making an income for her family, her main goal being to continue getting ahead.

This is her fourth loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity and the trust placed in her in order to receive the loan. In addition, she has committed to paying the loan back punctually, just as she has with the previous loans. She is also thankful to be a part of her communal bank as she has seen that its members are responsible and united.

She will invest the 1,000 PEN requested in the purchase of the best types and sizes of fish. Her daily investment is around 1,000 PEN with the purchase of approximately 200 kilograms of merchandise.
