A loan of $200 helped to buy two cans of solder.

Charles's story

Charles is a 35 year old blacksmith, and he is optimistic and hard-working. He has been married for 10 years and has two children that are 8 and 12 years old. They are his primary motivation to strive to get ahead so that he can improve their standard of living.

He does all types of lathe and welding work on engines, vehicles, and other things like this. He has a variety of customers, from individual people to public and private institutions. He has established a shop in his house where he works with the help of three people. He began this business 13 years ago and his customers have always given him the incentive to do good work and to continue improving the things he does. He works from 8 AM to 8 PM.

This is his first loan from MFP and he is thankful for the opportunity and confidence that MFP has in him. He promises to comply with his payment schedule punctually. He is also thankful to be part of the community bank because he has seen that the other members are responsible and supportive people. With this loan (500 soles) he will buy two cans of solder, which are sold for between 200 and 250 soles per can.
