A loan of $875 helped to buy potato, bean, and onion seeds, chemical fertilizer, and agrochemicals.

Edwin's story

Edwin is 20 years old and comes from a humble family with limited economic resources. He cultivates small plots of land, and he lives in the town of Sauces which is in the Mizque municipality in the department of Cochabamba. He works in agriculture and livestock, and for five years he has grown potatoes, beans, and onions. He sells his products to the businesses of Mizque where he lives. Edwin is very respected in his community for his dedication to his work and, along with his mother, for being responsible for the education of his younger siblings and the well-being of his family. He is asking for the loan to buy more potato, bean, and onion seeds, as well as chemical and organic fertilizer and agrochemicals. This is how he hopes to increase and to better the quality of his yield, thus allowing him to have more income and to better the living conditions of his whole family.
