A loan of $1,450 helped to buy potato seeds, beans, onions, fertilizer and agrochemicals.

Virginia's story

Virginia, 29, is from a humble family with few economic resources. They have small parcels of land and live in Tako Tako Alto, Mizque town, Cochabamba province. She has worked in farming for 20 years. She grows potatoes, beans, and onions, especially to feed her family. She sells the extra food to merchants in Mizque where she lives. Virginia is a well-known person in her community for her dedication to work and for being responsible for feeding and educating her children. Virginia is requesting the current loan to buy more potato seeds, beans, onions, fertilizer and agrochemicals to improve the quality and to increase the production of her crops. This way she will have more earnings and better the living conditions for all of her family.
