A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase peanut seeds and organic fertilizer.

Cecilio's story

Sr. Cecilio lives in the community of Tin Tin in Mizque Province in Cochabamba Department. He has two dependent children. He is a farmer and a natural disaster, drought, affected his previous harvest so that his crop yields dropped for lack of water. This caused his income to fall and affected his family, which he supports through his agricultural production. He produces only peanuts and beans on his small plot every year.

Cecilio is a person who is very much loved and respected in his community because of his dedication to his family and for his work. At times he even has to do day labor on farms in order to earn some pesos and thereby support his young children.

He is requesting a loan to purchase more peanut seeds and organic fertilizer so that he can improve the quality and yield of his crops. He farms the small plot he has in the place he lives so he can improve his income and provide a better quality of life for his children and they can attend school in a better situation. The loan will help his entire family greatly in the hard work they all do.
