A loan of $2,950 helped a member to buy construction materials to finish his work contracts.

Juana De Arco Group's story

The Juana de Arco communal bank is comprised of eight women and one man. Martin, age 40, is the president of the bank.

He is married and has four children, ages 8, 12, 20, and 25. Martin builds and remodels houses; he is a bricklayer contractor. He lives in the Villa el Carmen area of the city of La Paz.

This loan is his first cycle within the institution. Martin will use this loan to buy construction materials and some tools that will allow him to do his work efficiently. He has contracts to complete. The reason for requesting this loan is to continue improving in his work. Martin will use the profits to buy domestic appliances for his family.

Martin is a very hard-working person, and he is happy about the opportunity given to him and his colleagues in the communal bank. Some of them support their families by themselves.

In this group: Martin, Romelia, Silvia Ingrid, Benita, Albina, Delfina, Yesenia, Jenny Vanessa, Lorena
