A loan of $1,125 helped to buy materials in bulk.

Nerys's story

Nerys, 51, has made her living for 10 years in the family tradition of tailoring polo shirts, school uniforms, and general clothing items. She sells directly to her customers daily on both cash and credit arrangements. Her working hours are from 8 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon. Her main clients are schools and businesses with whom she has conducted business and they like the way she works. She purchases raw materials and supplies in cash. And in some specialty clothing stores, which are her principal suppliers, they know her and make her offers to buy in greater volume and in cash which she frequently makes takes advantage of.

Step by step her business has grown and she has many referrals from education institutions. She makes physical education shirts and end of the year student shirts for these customers. At the same time that her business is progressing, challenges are also presented such as having to buy in bulk and in cash, but also having to wait for her customers to pay in order to take on new clients.

This is the reason she has approached crediKiva. This is the second loan that Fundación Mario Santo Domingo has given her. With this loan she will buy materials in greater volume in order to make the most of discounts and come through for her clients. With her previous loan, Nerys bought equipment and supplies and accessories with which she has improved the quality of her process by making her products more effectively. Her dream is focused on growing her small business.
