A loan of $575 helped to buy groceries (rice, sugar, oil, eggs, etc) to increase her store's merchandise.

Bethsy's story

Bethsy is 36 years old and is a very friendly and hard working woman. She is married to Emerson, who is 33 years old. With him, she has two children, Emerson who is 7 years old and Renzo who is 4 years old. They are the driving force for her to continue working everyday and be able to give them the best.

Her work consists of grocery sales. She has a store in her house where her clients go everyday to find basic products. Many people come, so she opens very early in the morning and has everything to offer them. She has been doing this business for six years and works with the help of a niece. She likes her work a lot; in addition to generating good earnings, it is additional income since she teaches in an educational institution near her home. Although it is going well for her now, it was not always like this. She had to suffer much in order to have what she now has. She hopes to continue working with her store to continue progressing.

This is her seventh loan with MFP and she is very happy to know that she will have financial support since she will feel certain of advancing her business. On another note, she is committed--once again--to make her payments on time as she has done with the previous loans that she has had. She likes being part of her communal bank because all of the members are very responsible and supportive people.

With the amount requested (1500 nuevos soles), she will buy groceries and merchandise like sugar, rice, oil, eggs and bread, among other items, in order to expand the variety of her products that are offered in her store.
