A loan of $1,125 helped a member to buy fertilizers and seeds for her farmland.

Kim Ey's Group's story

A single woman from Battambang province’s Ratanak Mondul district, Kim Ey is 25 years old and she plants corns as her single source of her income to support her living. She has been in this business for almost ten years, earning about 20,000KHR per day but she is able to save about 5,000KHR each day. Kim Ey’s group consists of two female members who live in the same village. Kim Ey is the fourth cycled client while the other member is the second cycled client with VisionFund. She has successfully used the past three loans to make her family’s living better and to afford sufficient food. Now requesting a loan, Kim Ey, who is the leader, will use her portion to buy fertilizers and seeds for her farmland and use a portion of it to spend for labor and ploughing. She hopes to grow her business with good yields so as to provide a better standard of living.
