Samay is 40 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.
She has been working as a teacher for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 a day. Her husband runs a washing shop. He earns about $5 a day. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about $5 each day.
Samay is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase equipment for her husband to use for washing cars. This money will help her husband run the business smoothly. In the future, she would like to sell groceries from home and help her children earn bachelors degrees.
