Victor Hugo's story

Victor Hugo is 23 years old, married, and completed primary school. He lives in his parents’ home. He has one dependent, his little son. His principal economic activity is agricultural production. He cultivates potatoes and broad beans on his own parcels of land that he inherited, and in company (in other words, on the land of someone else, that person has the land and the clients the labour and some agricultural inputs, and at harvest the product is divided in equal parts). His land is located in the community of Sankayani Bajo in the municipality of Tíraque, approximately 75 kilometers away from Cochabamba. Finally, Victor Hugo and his wife show eagerness to be able to increase their agricultural production and therefore, they need to solicit investment capital to buy the agricultural inputs and in this way be able to increase their income, which is going to improve the family’s standard of living.
