Kpongbede's story

Madame Kpongbede is a young 35 year old lady. She is married to a taxi driver and has 03 children in her care who are all in school. They are 6, 9 and 12 years old. Since 1994 she has been selling frozen products, sugar and salt in a market in Lome. This is her first loan from the microfinance institution WAGES. She will use the amount to buy supplies so that she can better serve her customers. She would like to have a cold room for the sale of frozen products and open more points of sale. Her main difficulty is the competition in the area.
