The members of the Benkadi 4 group are married women who are on average 28 years old and have an average of two children each. For the most part, they live in polygamous families in Bablena, one of the villages in the Dioïla prefecture.

They are collaborating with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso with the goal of better organizing their businesses for the beginning of the rainy season. Their crops are millet, groundnuts, and beans. This is their sixth loan with the institution.

With this new loan, Djelika, the woman seated in the middle, intends to buy inputs and small equipment, as well as pay for the labor needed to maintain about one hectare of millet and groundnuts.

After the harvest, the crops are sold in Dioïla to a clientele of both men and women. She expects to make an average monthly profit of around 150,000F CFA each planting season.

Les membres du groupe BENKADI 4 sont par des femmes mariées avec une moyenne d’âge de 28 ans et ont en moyenne 2 enfants. Elles vivent la plupart dans des familles polygames à Bablena, un des villages de la préfecture de Dioïla.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso dans le but de pouvoir mieux organiser leurs activités en début d’hivernage. Les spéculations cultivées sont entre le mil, l’arachide et le haricot. Elles sont à leur sixième collaboration avec l’institution.
Avec ce nouveau prêt, DJELIKA, personne au milieu dans le rang des assises, compte acheter les intrants, les petits équipements et payer les frais de labour pour entretenir environs 1 hectare de mil et d’arachide.
Les productions sont vendues au niveau de la ville de Dioïla, après les récoltes à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes. Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 150 000F CFA environs par campagne.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
