Milly is married with six children and all her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (three of her late sister’s children). She has a business selling charcoal and has been in this business for 10 years. She sells to all categories of people but at retail. She generates additional income through poultry farming. She has applied for a loan of 1,500,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She works seven days a week .Her major monthly expenses includes transportation and seasonality. She is aspiring to see her business grow bigger so that she gets enough profits to buy a delivery van to ease in transportation and to educate her children up to university. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
