A loan of $2,300 helped a member to buy flour and wood for the bread-making business.

Zahida's Group's story

Zahida is 35 years old, married, and a mother of four sons and a daughter. All of her children are enrolled in a local school and getting their education. She is a housewife. She remains at home and does her household responsibilities. Her husband makes and sells bread in a tandoor (a pot that is used in making breads).

Zahida has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for her husband's business. With the loan investment he will buy flour and wood in larger quantities to further improve his business. He has been operating his business for many years, and Zahida is hopeful about his business success as a result of the loan investment.
