Shirley's story

Shirley is a dedicated and hard-working 20 year old, her partner is named Jonathan whom is the father of her only child; he works in transportation. For the time being, they live with their in-laws. She makes soft drinks with regional flavors and sells them at a busy market in the city. She started the business with her own capital 5 years ago and to this day she tends to her clients alone. She considers the business very viable due to its earnings, steady clientele, and because of the high demand for her soft drinks in this hot region. Her future plans are to venture into clothing sales but without leaving her current business.

This is her 2nd loan with MFP, and meanwhile she hopes to be able to fulfill her objectives. She promises to be responsible with the payments of this loan just as she was with her previous loan. Aside from being happy with her communal bank, she also learns alot from the workshops offered by her credit assesors. With the loan of 1500 nuevos soles, she will invest it towards the purchase of ingredients needed to prepare the soft drinks such as: regional fruits, and purple corn for the traditional "chicha morada".
