Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $2,350 helped a member to increase her capital and to buy lots of office supplies (folders, ditto machines, catalog envelopes,...) intended for resale.

Tureme Group's story

Anitha lives in Bujumbura and is a member of the Tureme group. She is 23 years old and married to aeronautical service agent named Elie. She takes care of two children who both attend school.

She has been selling public secretarial services for three years now.

This is her third loan from Turame. With the KIVA loan that she is receiving, she will increase her capital and buy lots of office supplies (folders, ditto machines, catalog envelopes,...) to resell in order to earn more money.
