Jose Miguel's story

The client, Jose Miguel, is 25 years old and is from Cochabamba, Bolivia. He studied up to the primary level in a public school but he didn’t finish school because his parents had financial difficulties. He began working as a taxi driver at a very young age. He does not have his own home and had been renting for several years. Then he met Neysa and has been living with her for five years. They have two small children that attend the public school in the Sacaba area. The live in his in-laws’ home in Sacaba-Cochabamba where they share the household expenses. Two years ago, he bought a trufi (15 passenger van that travels a set route) and works the 233 trufi line. He works from Monday to Saturday and his vehicle has a thirteen passenger capacity. His wife breeds and sells pigs. The purpose of the loan he is requesting is to expand the pig farm so that they will have better income and improve their lifestyle.
