A loan of $1,450 helped to buy fodder for her cows.

Cirila's story

Cirila is 25 years old and has two small children. She is a young, hardworking person. She raises cattle to produce good quality raw milk. Her work consists of feeding her cattle every day, between two and three times a day. She has to get up at 4 in the morning to milk her cows. During the day she cleans them, cleans their corral and also takes care of her children. At night she also has to go and milk the cows again.

Cirila needs to buy forage to feed her cattle since winter has already arrived in her area and there is little to feed them with so they can continue producing milk and her income will not drop. Thus, she needs the loan. She is very grateful to the people who, through Kiva, gave her the opportunity to continue moving forward with her business, since this is how she can continue supporting her family. Cirila’s future plans are to take out a new loan to purchase more dairy cows.
