Florencia's story

Florencia, 33, lives in Bolivia in Cochabamba Department. She attended primary school but was unable to complete her schooling because her family lacked the economic resources to do so. She’s married but does not spend much time with her husband because he travels to Chile constantly but helps her with household expenses. She has three small children. One of them attends primary school and the other two are still too young.

Florencia sells fruit and vegetables at wholesale. Starting very early in the morning she travels to Pocona to get merchandise to sell. During her trip she leaves her children with her sister-in-law.

The loan she’s requesting is for operating capital since she wants to grow in her business and improve her family income to give her little children a better life.
