A loan of $1,075 helped to buy fertilizers and pay the laborers who work in cleaning up their crops.

Ruben's story

Ruben is 49 years old and single. He has four children, but they live with their mother.

He is a man like no other, every moment is spent doing some activity. "If I don't work I feel useless," he says. He works in agriculture and has six fields of crops. In three of these plots he grows bananas and in the others, fruit and some coffee. He started with this activity independently since he was 20, when he had her first child. Now his children are older and come to his home to help at work. Ruben walks daily several minutes to his fields to remove weeds or to attend to them. His plans are to improve his production, to do so, he will purchase bags of fertilizer to ensure better crops.

This is Ruben's third loan with MFP and he promises to pay on time. The Communal Bank "Las Hormiguitas (The Ants)" is one of the most responsible for payments and participation in meetings and lectures.

Ruben will invest the money of this loan to buy 10 bags of fertilizer (with 1200 soles). The other remaining 1600 soles are to pay to hire laborers for cleaning and buy fertilizer for his crops.
