Fatuma's story

Fatuma is 30 years old and lives with her family in the lovely district of Msambweni. The economy in Msambweni is principally based on foodstuffs, and there are also people who fish for a living. She has worked in her retail business for four years, and the support and help of her family makes her job easier. Furthermore, her business is very interesting to her, as it has gradually grown thanks to increased demand from neighbors and community members satisfied with the service she provides.

A member of Yehu Microfinance, Fatuma is requesting her first loan of KES 30,000 to buy more goods such as wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar. This will allow her to earn more money and achieve better living conditions for herself and her family. She hopes to use the loan to continue growing personally and economically, as well as actively participate in the loan organization in her community.
