El Futuro Del Peru Group's story

Greetings from Peru. We present to you the group El Futuro del Perú, which is comprised of 10 members. They have been working for over a year with EDAPROSPO and are well-know to our institution as they are starting their fifth loan cycle. They are all responsible and punctual in their payments. One of the group's most charismatic and hardworking members is Katherine, a 23-year-old woman who lives with the father of her little sixteen-month-old boy. She opened her own workshop thanks to her common-law husband's father's knowledge of brick-making. Thanks to the good work that they do, they are well-regarded and their product is much sought-after in the area where they live. They want to grow their business and have many more brick-making ovens, so that they can provide their little boy with a better life. He is what they live for; as young first-time parents they have a lot of dreams for this little one. It is for this reason that Katherine is seeking the loan so that she can purchase more materials to make her bricks (large quantities of clay, boards, logs, and other materials.) She and her family are very grateful to the KIVA lenders for believing in their dreams and their goals. Katherine is the woman in the brown sweatshirt, second from the left in the first row.

In this group: Katherine , Julia, Mirtha, Marina, Yobana, Roberto, Senayda, Sonia, Elizabeth Hilda, Fortunato Jesus*
