A loan of $250 helped to buy oil, farmers' cheese and pork rind.

Juana De La Cruz's story

Juana earns her living selling pupusas (a type of maize tortilla). She has had this business, which she started of her own initiative, for three years. She lives with her three children. She is a single mother but her children help her with sales every day. At the moment they are studying at school.

She is asking for a loan in order to buy materials which she will use in the production of her foods such as oil, farmers' cheese and pork rind, amongst other products which she needs for her business. This will improve the service she provides to her clients and will help her to remain popular with them.

Her dream is for the investment she is making in her business to be successful, so that she can continue supporting her children with their studies and to offer them more stable living conditions.
