Maria Santos's story

María Santos, 35, lives in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula with her husband and two children. For the last 15 years she’s been working in her own fruit and vegetables sales business; she sells from place to place. The business is profitable and she contributes her profits to cover family expenses. She sells papayas, mangoes, bananas, celery, cilantro, etc. All the fruit is fresh which is why customers prefer her.

The loan she’s requesting will be used to buy fresh fruit and vegetables to keep her business well-stocked always with variety so that sales will increase. Her goal is to always be growing in her business in order to have a better standard of living.
