Yolanda's story

Yolanda is a 51 year old woman living in the city of Ica with her two daughters and her grandchildren . She is a very nice, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who has dedicated herself to helping her children get ahead with all her strength. Sadly, and for a variety of reasons, she separated from her husband many years ago, and since then she has been both father and mother to her daughters. In her free time, she loves to play with her grandchildren and at times she likes to make delicious desserts to share with her family.

By her own initiative, 4 years ago, Yolanda began her own business in clothing sales. Every day from the early hours of the morning, she is at her place in the market of her city doing her work. She feels happy with her business and thinks that it's going well with her customers, who recommend her because of the good products, prices, and kind service.

Yolanda feels very thankful to the lenders at Kiva, since thanks to the help they have given her, she will be able to buy new merchandise like shirts, polos, jackets, pants, sweaters, and other clothing items. In this way, Yolanda will keep her shop fully stocked, with which improvement she hopes to increase her sales and grow her income. She hopes to use her income to finish the construction of her house and help with the education expenses and support the education of her grandchildren.
