Teimuraz is 32 years old. He lives in a small village in the Martvili District with his family – a father, who is a pensioner, and a sister. The family runs an agricultural business. They produce cheese, and they also own a plot of land where nuts are grown. They sell cheese and nuts on the local open market. Teimuraz purchases grapes and sugar in the fall and produces wine. He sells wine in nearby villages. Along with the agricultural business, Teimuraz’s sister works as a cleaner and gets a service fee for the work. The family’s total average monthly income is 650 GEL.
Teimuraz requested a loan to purchase agricultural products to sell. He has a minibus, and he plans to sell seasonal agricultural products from his minibus in nearby villages. He thinks that it will be a profitable business. As a result of this Kiva loan, the family’s income will increase, which will enable them to improve their living conditions.
