Amani Za Congo Plus Group's story

Yves is the chairman of the Community Bank, “Amani za Congo Plus”, which is composed of 13 members united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through MFI HOPE RDC with the goal of developing their businesses.

Yves runs two businesses, a general store and a telephone booth, to the west of Kinshasa. He began them in 2000. His beginning capital was $150. With hard work and determination, his business has prospered. Yves is now well-known and liked in his area. He makes about US $200 of profit each week. Yves intends with the next loan to purchase more prepaid cards to meet the customers' demand and generate additional profits.

He is 44 years old, married, and the father of four children aged between two and eight. Two of the children attend school. His ambition is to expand his businesses.
