Saigbénan Élisée is a widower and the father of three children, some of whom are in school, all of whom are under his care.
Saigbénan Élisée lives alone with his children and he alone cares for their needs and for his own. He learned to paint and decorate and has done so for seven years in his own workshop; his income is not insignificant. On top of this business, he sells silkscreen products. His clientele is becoming larger and larger. In order to perfect his craft and become more competitive, Saigbénan Élisée would like to acquire work materials. He gets his supplies in a village in Benin and in Nigeria. In search of customer satisfaction and in order to increase his business and revenue, he is requesting the financial support of ALIDE for the third time. His two previous loans were paid off well.

Âgé de 35 ans, Saigbénan Élisée vit au Bénin et a arrêté l’école au niveau secondaire. Saigbénan Élisée est un veuf et père de trois enfants dont certains scolarisés et tous à sa charge. Saigbénan Élisée vit seul avec ses enfants et assure seul ses différents besoins ainsi que ceux de ses enfants. Saigbénan Élisée a appris la peinture et la décoration, activités qu’il exerce depuis dix sept ans dans son atelier et qui lui procure des revenus non négligeables. Parallèlement à ces activités, Saigbénan Élisée vend des produits de sérigraphie. La clientèle de Saigbénan Élisée devient de plus en plus grandissante. Afin de perfectionner son activité et d’être plus compétitif sur le marché, Saigbénan Élisée désire acquérir des matériels de travail. Saigbénan Élisée s'approvisionne dans une ville du Bénin et au Nigeria. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d'affaire et son revenu, Saigbénan Élisée sollicite une troisième fois l’appui financier de ALIDé. Les deux crédits reçus antérieurement ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
