A loan of $1,075 helped to buy a display case, hangers and merchandise.

Luz Balvina's story

Luz lives in Milagros, a city known for its fruit groves. She is 50 years old, divorced and has four children. Three years ago she began selling groceries in an effort to earn an income; and, through her effort and dedication she has been able to gradually increase business. Nowadays she sells bazaar items, pharmaceutical products and groceries in general. She opens Monday through Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., since her children are adults and live independently.

She spends most of her time in her store since she feels productive and does not have to depend on anyone else. It also keeps her active, which is good at her age. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy a display case, hangers and merchandise to improve the store's image.
