A loan of $525 helped to buy sewing materials like fabric, thread, and needles, etc. for her business.

Blanca Rosa's story

Blanca, age 42, is a single mother. She lives with her two children in a neighborhood in the San Manuel Cortes municipality. Two years ago she established her seamstress shop where she makes and repairs women’s clothing like dresses, skirts, blouses, pants, girls’ clothing, and boxer shorts etc. She acquired experience in a seamstress shop where she worked for several years doing this business activity. She also studied beauty. The loan she is requesting for 10,000 lempiras is to buy fabric and materials. She will buy the fabric wholesale and remnants by the pound in order to make bedding. She will buy where it is cheaper. This investment will help her fill orders that she has with her customers. Her goals are to produce more, that her children continue their education, and to buy another sewing machine to sew more.
