A loan of $3,075 helped a member to buy rice, sugar, oil, noodles, etc in bulk.

Nueva Generacion Group's story

Peru sends a big hello to all of you! Today we present the group Nueva Generacion [New Generation], made up of 9 members. This group is enterprising and very united. They are in their second cycle so they know that punctuality and responsibility are of the utmost importance.

One of the members, Carmen, is 60 years old and a single mother of two. She only lives with her younger son who continues his higher education at a technical school thanks to the income that her restaurant provides. It's been almost 20 years since she started this business and her loyal customers continue to increase thanks to the special seasoning that she puts in all of her meals.

Carmen will use this loan to buy ingredients like rice, sugar, noodles, oil, etc. in bulk so that her meals cost less to make which earns her greater profits for her household. Her dream, which is already coming true, is first for her sons to become professionals, and also to be able to increase the space where she serves food to give her customers greater comfort.

Carmen is wearing a black jacket and white t-shirt in this photo. Jenny Bell does not appear in the picture for work reasons.

In this group: Carmen Eluces, Luisa, Maria Elena, Melina Carmen, Katherine Isabel, Janeth Giovana, Delia Angelica, Jenny Bell*, Angelo Justiniano
