A loan of $625 helped to purchase a milking cow.

Khatuna's story

Khatuna is 36 years old. She lives in a small village of Dusheti District with her parents, who are pensioners. Khatuna is busy with an agricultural business. She has 2 milking cows and produces dairy food: cheese, curd, and yogurt. Part of the dairy food is used by the family members and the rest is sold on the local open market. The total average monthly income of the family is 500 Lari.

Khatuna requested a loan for purchasing an additional milking cow. She wants to expand her agricultural activity in order to make it more profitable. With three milking cows, she will be able to produce more dairy food. This will increase the income of the family. With increased income, Khatuna will be able to reinvest in her agricultural business. As a result of the above-mentioned activity, the living conditions of the family will improve.
