A loan of $1,150 helped to buy kitchen supplies for her food business.

Rosa Isabel's story

Rosa, 21, is single. She lives in the city of Nazca with her parents, brother and sisters. She's a young woman, enthusiastic and hard-working, with a strong drive to get ahead in the world. Thanks to help from her parents, she received a degree in cooking and pastry-making. In her spare time, she likes to listen to music. She also makes a terrific chicken and rice dish for her family.
Rosa operates a business, making and selling torillas, a business that she started with help from her parents. She works around 8 hours a day and says that it's rewarding work because her clients like the service she provides and often recommend her tortillas to others.
Rosa is grateful to Kiva lenders because your loans will allow her to buy an industrial mixer, baking pans and other kitchen supplies. The investment will give her the tools she needs to increase her sales and grow her business. For the future, she wants to open a bakery and have the means to help support her family.
