That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $500 helped to purchase wood and cement to build a kitchen.

Thy's story

Thy is 45 years old, is married and lives with her five children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been a farmer since 1990, earning income of approximately USD 2 per day. Three of her children are singers and workers in a factory, earning profit of approximately USD 10 per day. Each month, Thy has to spend about USD 50 on food, USD 5 on utility expenses and USD 35 on other expenses.

Thy is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase wood and cement to build a kitchen. This loan will help her to have a new kitchen providing good conditions for when they are cooking. In the future, she hopes she can build a toilet for everyday use.
