A loan of $3,625 helped a member to buy various items to restock his grocery store.


Wazo Tegeta Group's story

Godfrey, who is in his mid-30s, is married with one child, who goes to school. He has owned a grocery for eight years now. He works from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and he is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be his fifth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to add to his grocery inventory, to buy a motorcycle, and to pay household expenses. He has repaid all four loans successfully. He wants a loan to buy numerous items to restock his grocery store. His dream is one day to be able to build his own house.

Godfrey will share this loan with his loan group, "Wazo Tegeta." It has 17 members who will hold one another accountable for paying back the loan.
