Moeurt's Group's story

Moeurt's group consist of three, all are female. Moeurt, the group leader, is 47 years old and also a mother of six children. Currently, there is only one daughter under her responsibility. To feed the family, she and her husband have been growing the paddy rice for 15 years. Additionally, her husband works for others for pay to make more income. For Moeurt, drought is the main obstacle, which affects her crop yield. This is the fifth loan cycle for Moeurt, as well as another member, while the third member has been with VisionFund for two times only. The loans have helped her to grow her paddy rice timely and to manage the family's cash flow. After the loans are paid, she is seeking for a new loan of 500,000 KHR to buy fertilizer for her rice field and to pay for the costs of plowing and harvesting. She hopes to earn more income so as to expand her business.
