A loan of $1,775 helped a member to stock more merchandise for her grocery store.

Las Babys Group's story

The Credituyo solidarity group, Grupos Las Babys, has six members whose names are Alma, Gloria, Graciela, Maria, Olga, and Socorro. They have been friends and neighbors for more than ten years.

Maria is one of the members. She is 28 years old and lives in a common-law-marriage with the partner. They have two children who are 2 and 8 years old. They are her main motivation in life, and she works hard so that her children have everything they need.

Maria has a grocery store and on weekends, she sells tamales to her friends and neighbors. Maria plans to use this loan to purchase merchandise for her store so that it will be very well stocked. In the future, Maria would like to expand her business and have the largest store in her district.
