A loan of $625 helped to purchase calves.

David's story

David is 48 years old. He lives in a small village of Abasha District with his family: his wife Eka, his 5-year-old daughter and his parents, who are pensioners. His wife is a refugee and receives assistance from the local government.

The family is busy with their agricultural business. In particular, they work with livestock. They have six milking cows and two piglets. David and Eka produce cheese, part of which is used by the family with the rest sold at the local open market. The family's total average monthly income is 550 Lari.

David requested a loan for purchasing milking cows; he wants to expand his dairy farm. With more cows he will be able to increase production and cheese sales. This will positively impact the family income. Increased income will be reinvested in the family agricultural business to expand and become more profitable, which will improve the family's living conditions.
