Karla Vanessa's story

Karla is 27 years old and is from the city of Managua. She is married and has a high school academic level. She is the mother of two children that are her dependents. Her older daughter is in primary school. Karla makes a living as the owner of a grocery store, and inherited it from her mother three years ago. She is in charge of the administration of the store. This has been her first business which she receives the support of her husband who helps her to attend to the customers during his free time. She sells her products in the house in which she lives.

Her husband works in a private business and contributes to the household expenses with his earnings. She hopes to diversify her store's products with the objective of satisfying her customers' needs. She is requesting the loan to buy rice, oil, beans, bread, milk, canned goods, oats, soap, etc. She believes that this will be of help because she will be able to stock her store with products that her customers demand most. Her next goals are to have more varied products, grow in sales to receive greater earnings for her family and to give her children a better education.
