A loan of $2,475 helped a member to buy lots of cooking pots, basins, pagnes, etc.

Yorodani Group's story

Esperance, age 40, is a member of Yorodani Group. She lives in Bujumbura and is married to Djuma, a fish merchant. Together they have five children, age 4 to 18. Out of them, four are studying.

For eight years, she's been selling cooking pots, basins, pagnes (colorful African cloth), etc.

She's seeking her tenth loan from Kiva's partner, Turame. With this Kiva loan, she will bolster her working capital and buy lots of cooking pots, basins, pagnes, etc, to resell, in order to increase her income.

In the forthcoming years, she would like to combine her business with raising livestock. Furthermore, she would like to see her children complete their studies and enjoy a bright future.

In this group: Esperance, Juliette, Alice, Fatuma, Siri
