A loan of $825 helped to buy more bunches of bananas, beef, rice, and chicken.

Irene's story

Irene, a married mother of ten children, six of whom attend school, has operated a restaurant seven days a week for the last six years. She generates additional income through part-time teaching. Her major business challenges include defaulters and seasonality. She resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and medication.

Irene is requesting a loan of 2000000 Uganda shillings from MCDTSACCO to buy more bunches of bananas, beef, chicken, Irish and sweet potatoes and rice. She aspires to see her business grow bigger, her ultimate goal being a fully-stocked restaurant. She also wants to educate her children to the university level.
