Shaarbubu's story

Shaarbubu is 53 years old, a widow and has seven children. She lives together with her family in the Bakiyan village in the north of Kyrgyzstan. Just like many others in rural areas, to provide the primary source of income, Shaarbubu fattens up livestock, having started this business in 2002. Today her business contains 27 sheep, one cow, and 3.60 hectares of land with beans, which allows her to earn about 5,000 som (KGS) in profit per month. In order to further develop her business, Shaarbubu requested a loan in the amount of 120,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy work horses. She plans to invest the earnings into building a barn.
