Dora Juana's story

Dora is 55 and lives in the Orquídeas of Guayaquil. This is an emerging area and promises to become an area with a lot of commercial activity. Several years ago, Dora invested some capital to open her general store. Before, there had been little competition in this area, but little by little the competition has increased. Dora is not very worried since she has a good clientele and is in a good location.

She started the business when her husband abandoned her. Since she had been a housewife, she did not have the knowledge needed to work in a company. The decision that she made was a good one, and it allowed her to help her kids get ahead in life. She was able to give them an education.

She opens her business from 10 in the morning until 11 at night, selling products such as rice, sugar, chicken, detergents, canned goods, sausage, dairy products, etc. She hopes to purchase more of these products with the loan in order to increase her inventory and stock her store. Her goal for the future is to construct various apartments in her home so she can live off the rent when she decides to take a break from her business.
