A loan of $400 helped to buy more shoes to continue selling.

Cesar's story

César, 57, is a good, kind, and very diligent man. He is married to Rosa, a merchant, and they have ten children who they have raised and educated in such a way that they are already independent. At the moment he lives in his home along side his wife, to whom he wishes to continue offering a better quality of life so that they can have a quiet old age together.

His work consists of selling shoes, sneakers, and sandals; both new and secondhand. He relies on a small rented space in a commercial area of his town, where he takes care of his customers and also offers a shoe repair service. When he began he only sold used shoes, but with time his capital increased and now he can sell new shoes. He has been doing this work for more than six years and wants to continue doing it for many more years since he likes it and has the freedom to set his own schedule and work days. He has good sales and this allows him to have a good income. In the future he hopes to increase his capital and his stock of merchandise in order to see his business grow.

This is his ninth loan with MFP and he is happy to have this financial support in order to continue with his goals. Once again, he promises to make his repayments in a responsible manner. He also says he feels very comfortable in his communal bank since his group members are very responsible and always sympathize with others.

With the requested amount, 1000 soles, he will buy more shoes for his business and this way increase the variety that he offers.
