A loan of $1,150 helped to buy a freezer and supplies.

Cinthya Vanessa's story

Cinthya is a single woman who lives with her parents and siblings in the city of Pucallpa. She is a very friendly, hard-working, enthusiastic woman who has a great desire to do well in life. Thanks to the support of her parents, Cinthya was able to study for a degree in veterinary science. In her free time she enjoys going out for walks in the warm city streets and she sometimes cooks a delicious meal of 'Juanes' (a typical dish in her city) to share with her family.

With a lot of effort, having learned from her mother, Cinthya set up a small business selling food such as pork sausage, chorizo, 'tacacho' and other local dishes. She works around eight hours a day and can serve an average of twenty customers. She feels happy in her work and she believes that things are going well because her customers seek her out owing to the good flavor of her food and her friendly service.

Cinthya is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to their help, she will be able to buy a freezer and supplies such as pork, seasonings, bijao leaves, etc. This will improve her business and the ingredients she uses in her dishes will keep better. She hopes, as a result, to increase her sales and her income. She wants to use this income so that she can have her own home in the not-so-distant future.
