A loan of $625 helped to purchase nuts to resell.

Izolda's story

Izolda is 56 years old. She lives in a small village of Senaki District with her husband, Pausi, and two children (29 and 31 years old). The elder child is a seller in the village store and gets a monthly salary. The other family members are busy with agricultural activities.

They have four milking cows and five calves. They produce cheese and sell it on the local open market. The family also owns a plot of land where nuts and maize are grown. They sell approximately 100 kg. of nuts in a year.

Izolda requested a loan for purchasing nuts. She plans to purchase nuts from local farmers and sell them in the Senaki market and in nearby towns. Thus, the family will get additional income.

With increased income, they plan to renovate the house because the existing one is very old and uncomfortable. Due to the above mentioned, the living conditions of the family will be improved and they will be able to spend their evenings after a hard working day in more comfortable environment.
