A loan of $400 helped to pay for vehicle parts and repairs.

Diogenes's story

Diogenes, 46, is a good man, friendly and enterprising. He is separated from the mother of his now-grown children. He pays rent to a friend with whom he lives.
He operates a mototaxi business. He started the business because he saw that there was a demand for it. It was difficult at first because he didn't know the city well, but he's operated the business for a year now, long enough to learn what he needs to know to provide a good service. He likes the work very much because he makes a good living from it, he has a chance to meet different people every day and he can set his own hours. Before he started the business, he had a lot of financial problems, but not now.

This is his second MFP loan and he says that he is grateful for your support because it will allow him to carry out his plans for the business. For his part, he is committed to being a reliable partner and repaying your loan in the agreed-upon time. He adds that he wants to develop good relations with his communtiy bank so that its members will want to do business with him in future.
Diogenes will use this 1000-soles loan to buy replacement parts--tires, for example--for his mototaxi. The investment will allow him to pay for routine maintenance and continue operating his business.
