Alba Luz's story

Alba, 52, has a son and she’s a single mother. She lives with her mother in a suburban neighborhood in San Pedro Sula. She’s been making and selling corn tortillas for 8 years. She buys corn, lime powder and firewood to make the tortillas. She started the business with her own efforts and has made it grow gradually; she now has a well-established clientele.

She needs the loan to buy corn, lime powder and firewood to make tortillas and will use part of the money to repair the business’ roof. The loan will help her have capital on hand to work and have the ingredients she needs. Her goal is to continue growing in her business and to improve her quality of life.
