Maharaba is 34 years old. He is married and resides with his three children in Samburu, Coastal Province, Kenya. He has been involved in the grocery business for more than three years, earning approximately 200 KES per day. His wife helps him run the business. Three of his children are attending school.
In order to improve his family’s finances, Maharaba is requesting a loan of KES 50,000 to purchase sacks of vegetables and fruit to sell. This money will help him run the business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, he would like to expand his business and help his children achieve their dreams.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
